Vintage backyard roses

Vintage… I feel like that could be anything old. But how old? I decided to just go with the age of blimps and one wheeled bikes. Which is probably more antique than it is vintage, but hey… it’s pretty! I learned so much by creating this kit. And I finally got to incorporate my gardening love in this kit. The wallpaper-like flower pattern consists of pictures of my own backyard roses! Needless to say I was really excited when my hot red and dusky white roses suddenly turned into a piece of vintage, lightleaked wallpaper. This kit is dedicated to my mother, whom I constantly tease with her age, but who is never truly old in my eyes – in my eyes she is always beautiful, gentle, loving and dedicated to her family. Love you mom!

Have fun using this, I would love-love-love to see what you make with it, so please share! You can leave me a link in the comments or send me your work of art through Facebook. To give you an idea, I created an example layout for you, starring my mother ofcourse πŸ˜‰ You can take a look if you’re interested.

Simply stunning. I love what you did with the colors. I have the hardest time getting really soft colors, both when I design and when I scrap, I don’t know why! But I think they’re beautiful and am always attracted to them when I see them. I’m still finishing up my part but feeling pretty uninspired – I see your gorgeous papers are CU OK so I might use a few to make some coordinating journal cards. We’ll see if I get a last-second wind πŸ™‚ Thanks as always for sharing your incredible talent!

Thanks for this! I agree with some other posters here, those journaling cards are awsome! They look really realistic and I have a soft spot for grungy stuff. Still looking for a good picture/idea to use these… but I’m sure I’ll come up with something. Thanks again!
