Art Journaling

Almost a year ago I felt the need to jot some stuff down in a journal. And being a visual person it soon became more than just journaling. I started out with some pretty handwriting, moved on to collages and then fell in love with acrylic paints all over again. One thing led to another and after a really inspiring live workshop by Marit Barentsen (I am so lucky to live close to her) I plunged myself head-first into the ‘Art of Journaling’. You may have noticed some artsy papers made on my Gelli-plate, or maybe you have seen my Instagram account fill up with art journaling pages.

Needless to say, now I am addicted. I get really cranky if I don’t do anything creative for more than three days. Lucky for me, my kids are tiny budding artists and they love it when mommy gets out her Gelli-plate and markers. And you get to benefit from our creative playtime!

Since I use a lot of pen and marker circles and shapes, I decided to make a kit out of them. For all of you who make digital Art Journals. And for those who love to highlight something on their scrapbook layout. Or for the digital-brush-addicts among us (hello fellow addicts!). Hope you like these, because there will surely be more to come! 😉 (click on the image to be taken to the Pixel Scrapper site).

I love to ‘hook others up’ with my own addiction… glad you joined the club Melo and – like you – I use circles and dots all the time on my own pages. (oh, and spirals… don’t you love spirals?) Hope to see you again for another inspiring day sometime this year.
